A common issue in Halo Reach and Halo 4 is that when the Covenant target you with a plasma ball, it spits out 4 timed grenades. These are powerful vehicles that can easily change the tide of the battle, so it’s important to move out of harm’s way and into the next room as soon as possible.

Earlier in the Halo Reach campaign, you were able to down most of the elites with single shots on older maps, so the plasma turrets provide a much needed strategic element to the melee fights. สล็อตเว็บตรง On the plasma turrets, you have a limited ammo magazine, so you usually won’t have a lot of time to use the weapon, so you have to be quick on the sprint button. Sprinting up to an enemy will usually cause it to focus on you, so it will be easier to take it out with a headshot.

The plasma launcher is great for finishing off weakened elites or clearing buildings of elites with nearly unlimited ammo, but is almost useless against most of the grunts and jackals. A single shot from a plasma rifle headshot is usually capable of killing an unshielded elite, so it is a much lower body shot damage than the plasma pistol. In large enclosed areas, you may find yourself in need of the plasma launcher more often than you have energy to use it, so I suggest you wield it when you have at least a half dozen plasma rifles.

plasma rifle – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from headshot: 10%

shot – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from body shot: 100%

Operational difficulties – plasma rifle – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from headshot: 0%

plasma repeater – fire three shots to remove shields and damage an enemy and remove his shields, but does not deal any damage if the target is out of griot range

plasma launcher – fire a single rocket that deals large amounts of damage, but has refueling costs and is a one-shot type

These two weapons deal the same damage, but the plasma launcher has a much higher fire rate. Because of this, the plasma rifle is almost always the weapon of choice amongst players who prefer to fight the covenant using the plasma rifle. When you are fighting elites, the plasma rifle is the best because it deals enough damage to kill them in only one shot. Halo Casts

Plasma rifle – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from headshot: 25%

shot – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from body shot: 100%

Operational difficulties – plasma rifle – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from headshot: 50% Halo Casts

plasma repeater – fire three shots to remove shields and damage an enemy and remove its shields, but does not deal any damage if the target is out of griot range. Fire two shots to damage the enemy in addition to the plasma repeater, but this will deplete the plasma rifle’s energy much faster. In general, plasma rifles should be used less, especially in head on battles, because the plasma rifle takes much longer to recharge. When fighting elites, plasma rifles deal enough damage to kill most enemies with a single headshot, making plasma rifles a much more useful weapon than plasma repeaters. Halo Casts

Plasma rifle – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from headshot: 50%

shot – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from body shot: 100%

Operational difficulties – plasma rifle – plasma rifle headshot damage increase from headshot: 0%

plasma repeater – fire three shots to remove shields and damage an enemy and remove its shields, but does not deal any damage if the target is out of griot range. Instead, a plasma rifle shot will remove the target’s shields, leaving it vulnerable to other enemies.

As you can see, the plasma rifle is a much more useful weapon that the plasma repeater. Both plasma rifles have pros and cons, and both are especially useful or useless depending on when you use them. I hope this short Halo Reach weapon guide will help you decide which rifle to use in Halo 3. Halo Casts
